Your back or your knee hurts and you want to see someone soon. So you phone. The first practice has a three-week waiting list. The second one goes to voicemail. The third can see you in ten days.
Meanwhile a practice two streets away has a slot free that same afternoon. Only nobody tells you.
That information isn't secret. Many practices simply put their agenda online. But every practice does it on its own website, in its own system. You would have to visit them all. Nobody does that. We do.
Every hour De Fysioplek reads the public online agendas of 77 physiotherapy practices in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. Between them those practices use 8 different agenda systems. We put them side by side in one place: right now 11.276 open slots. Every page shows when the times were last refreshed.
You pick your complaint and your neighbourhood. You see who has time today or tomorrow, how far away that is, and what patients say about the practice on ZorgkaartNederland.
Not every practice has an online agenda. Of the 485 practices in the region, more than seventy percent don't. Those are listed too, with a phone number. So you see the whole picture, not just the part that happens to be online.
For your complaint we look for physiotherapists who specialise in it, for example pelvic or sports physiotherapy. That is a search aid, not a diagnosis. If you're unsure about your complaint, see your GP.
Booking happens at the practice itself. Tap a time and you land on that practice's website, where you complete the appointment. We never book on your behalf.
At some practices we can pre-fill the booking form for you. Even then, you press the final button. You decide.
Practices cannot pay for a higher place in the list. The order is always the same: who has the first free slot, and how close it is.
The ratings you see come from ZorgkaartNederland, the Dutch independent patient review site. We don't write them and we don't select them.
